Reviews on your pet insurance companys please?
i have a puppy who has had an accident and so we urgently need to get this sorted out ASAP so we can avoid major costs in the future.

Any pet insurance at this point will probably do you no good as any thing related to the accident will be considered a "pre-existing condition".
I have VPI (which some say is total crap) and someone recently recommended http://www.trupanionpetinsurance.com.

As said by the poster above, no insurance cover will include a pre-existing condition. That is why they need to be insured as soon as you get them, otherwise everyone would wait until their dog needed treatment and then insure – doesn’t work that way.
Not only will they not insure a pre-existing condition but you are not covered at all for the first 14 days of a policy.

I now use and recommend Animal Friends.
They are fast gaining a good reputation.
Do not go with the very cheapest E & L. A lot of vets won’t deal with them as they do not tend to pay up. Or at least ask your vets about them before going with them.
Back to Animal Friends.
They have 7 levels of cover. Just forget the first 3 as they only cover for 1 yr per condition. So say your dog developed a lifelong condition such as diabetes, then those type of 1 yr covers would only pay for the first year. A lot of conditions show problems after the one year period.
The last 4 cover policies cover the condition for life, with varying amounts of annual cover going from £2000. They also have an optional excess of £49 or £99, which will reduce the premium too. They also insure older dogs which some don’t.
I honestly have found these to be the best around.
