THEY ALSO SUPPORT THE POLICE K-9 UNTIS WITH ALL THE FOOD FOR THE K-9 POLICE DOGS FOR THE POLICE DEPT. I KNOW THIS FIRST HAND AS I WORK WITH THE POLICE DEPT AND PETSMART IN COORDINATING THIS. First the doctor will access your pet and what he/she needs. then the vet will recommend what plan to have for the first year. For instance, I have 1 cat that needed his teeth cleaned badly as his gums were very bloody and raw. I knew I had to have them cleaned because having such bad teeth it can affect the organs and heart of my cat. So he is on the Optimum plan. For 1 cat, she is much healthier, (9 months old) so I have her on the lowest plan knowing that if ANYTHING arises in her first year on this plan I can upgrade very easily and have the health issue taken care of. I know if you go to them and chat with the vet and see just what it does offered, The Banfield Vet plans, you will soon see how much you do indeed save. For 1 cat this year I saved over 2000.00 because a serious problem arose and ALL was covered in his plan.
